at The River Studio in Hallowell
Join me at The River Studio in Hallowell on 5/8 for an evening of deep self-care. We will begin our immersion by journeying through the chakras (the energy centers of the body) with a blend of yin and restorative yoga postures. Gentle breathwork will be incorporated to assist in opening the body, expanding awareness, and quieting the mind. We will end our practice with a long Savasana with guided “rotation of consciousness” (a taste of Yoga Nidra). I will be supporting you throughout your practice with Reiki (hands off). You will leave this practice feeling peaceful, nurtured, and renewed. ♥ ** No previous yoga experience required. **
Cost: $30. Preregistration required. Please preregister here: https://www.paypal.me/KimNixonYoga (with the message "YINSTORATIVE")
YIN YOGA is a quiet, meditative practice that works on all levels of the being. In Yin Yoga, floor postures are held passively for several minutes in order to access the deep layers of connective tissue. Physically, Yin Yoga helps us to open our bodies and to restore and maintain range of motion in the joints. Energetically, it opens the body's meridian system, enhancing the energetic flow. Through its emphasis on stillness and silence, Yin Yoga prepares both the body and the mind for deeper experiences in meditation.
RESTORATIVE YOGA deeply relaxes the body the mind. Bodies are fully supported with props during restorative postures.
