My life in words....
I'm passionate about sharing the healing benefits of gentle movement, meditation, breathwork, and therapeutic bodywork. I'm a Licensed Massage Therapist and 500-hr Registered Yoga Teacher. I've been practicing yoga since 2006, doing bodywork since 2009, and teaching yoga since 2012. The primary focus of my practice is to provide self care tools to assist students and clients in managing stress, reducing pain, and strengthening their bodies. As both a massage therapist and yoga teacher, I think of yoga as the "active version of massage."
I formerly managed The River Studio in Hallowell prior to the pandemic. I taught weekly yoga classes and events there for years. I currently teach classes in-person at Downtown Yoga & Healing Arts in Augusta, live-online (via Zoom) on Wednesday nights, and Yoga on the Boardwalk at Gardiner Waterfront during the summer months. I believe that yoga is for EVERY body and you will see that reflected in my teaching style. Join me for class anytime... from wherever you are. ♥
I'm as passionate a student of yoga as I am a teacher. I have more that 2000 teaching hours and a combined total of more than 1800 training hours in yoga, massage, energy medicine, and intuition studies. In addition to my 200- and 500-hour yoga certifications, I have over 250 hours of specialized training in Yin Yoga. I also have specialty certifications in Prenatal Yoga, Pranayama (breathwork), Meditation, Ayurvedic Yoga, Five-Element Yoga®, CranioSacral Therapy, Thai Massage, Polarity, and I'm a Master level practitioner in both Reiki and Integrated Energy Therapy® (IET.) My current plans include ongoing studies in CranioSacral Therapy and Lymphatic Drainage. ♥
Self care is the most nurturing and important thing we can do for ourselves. I'm not currently taking new massage clients, but please join me for a class or call me to schedule a CranioSacral Therapy / Lymphatic Drainage session. Namaste.
