Yin Yoga... the other half of the practice
“Yin [yoga] is for everyone: young, old, fat, thin, sporty, sedentary (especially sedentary,) wound up, chilled out and everything
in between. If you have a body and you can breathe, you can practice, and benefit from, yin yoga.” ~ Dearbhla Kelly, M.A.

Meditation infused with postures; postures infused with meditation.... yin yoga is an intimate practice with your "self." Yin yoga is a quiet, meditative practice that works on all levels of the being. In yin yoga, floor postures are held passively for several minutes in order to access the deep layers of connective tissue. Physically, it helps us to maintain and restore the natural mobility of the joints (range of motion.) Energetically, it opens the body's meridian system, enhancing the energetic flow. Mentally, it helps us to quiet our minds. Yin Yoga is a therapeutic practice, beneficial for all body types, ranging from beginners and seniors to athletes. It is especially good for those with existing joint issues. (No previous yoga experience is required.)
