Hatha Yoga classes are warming, strengthening, and empowering. This is the perfect choice for those who would like to strengthen the body and retrain muscles. I offer traditional Hatha Yoga classes, integrating styles from a variety of yoga traditions. Class emphasis is on breath-linked movement, body alignment, creating body awareness, and learning to “listen to your body.” A typical class will incorporate meditation, pranayama (breath techniques,) gentle movement, and both standing and seated postures. From personal experience, I hold a strong belief in the healing power of movement. As a massage therapist, I offer a holistic perspective of yoga, seeing it as “powerful medicine” with healing potential for all aspects of body, mind and spirit. My Hatha Yoga classes are suitable for all bodies, including beginners and those with physical challenges and joint issues. Modifications always offered.
Monday mornings: Fall through Spring at The River Studio and summers on the Boardwalk
