Yoga Classes: Yin Yoga & Hatha YogaI have dialed back and consolidated my yoga offerings considerably in the last couple of years. I'm currently offering just one regular, weekly Yin Yoga class on Monday nights at Downtown Yoga in Augusta. I also teach a summer Yoga on the Boardwalk series every year on the boardwalk at Gardiner Waterfront Park. You may also see an occasional Friday morning Hatha Yoga series at Downtown Yoga. I also offer private yoga classes and group self-care presentations.
I specialize in Yin Yoga and Gentle Hatha Yoga, where we use postures, breathwork, and meditation to increase range of motion, strengthen muscles, decrease pain, ease stress and anxiety, and increase body awareness. All of my classes have a "therapeutic" focus and are suitable for all levels and all body types. No previous yoga experience required. Beginners and seniors are always welcome and encouraged. The study of asana is not about mastering posture. It's about using posture to understand and transform yourself.

Energy-Infused Massage, CST, and MLDI describe my unique table massage style as "energy-infused massage." In a typical massage session, I will incorporate multiple massage techniques, acupressure, Thai massage, and a variety of assisted stretching techniques. As a Master Level Reiki practitioner, Reiki is organically incorporated into all my sessions. The use of essential oils is also a standard part of all of my bodywork sessions.
Since adding CranioSacral Therapy (CST) and Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) to my practice in 2022, those therapies have become the primary focus of my work. Both are subtle yet powerful practices which are done fully clothed. CST has the potential to help with a wide-range of healthcare challenges including headaches, chronic neck and back pain, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other central nervous system disorders. MLD supports the Lymphatic System which supports your immune, circulatory, and nervous systems. The Lymphatic System plays a crucial role in overall health as it helps the body to process and remove waste products and toxins from our tissues and return them to the bloodstream. |
